Website Design and SEO for LASIK Surgeons and Ophthalmologists

Web Design Digest: Ophthalmology – September 2016

Clear vision serves more than a functional purpose – it makes it possible to live life to the fullest. Griffin & Reed Eye Care understands this, which is why the recent redesign of the practice website is "clearly different" from that of other ophthalmology offices.

Here's a look at the elements that set the new design of the Griffin & Reed Eye Care website apart:

Griffin & Reed Eye Care

For many patients, the image on the website home page is all too familiar: a pair of eyeglasses that affords clear sight, with the surrounding environs blurry and indistinct. The banner provides an immediate solution to this common problem with a call-to-action and a button that directs users to information about the practice, including premium downloadable content.

Client of the Month: Seeta Eye Centers

Seeta Eye Centers has been working with Page 1 Solutions since February 2015 and it has been a great pleasure to work with Dr. Satish Modi, Danielle Foster, Stacey Koch and the rest of the team at Seeta Eye Care.  They are always open to and full of ideas on how to better build the practices exposure.  We have continued to see their exposure grow and am excited to continue working with the Seeta team moving forward.

"I can't say enough about how awesome the entire team is and how they approach the great service that they offer to each of their patients.  Being recognized as our Client Of The Month is a recognition that they absolutely deserve!"

Web Design Digest: Ophthalmology – August 2016

The outside of any medical practice should create a welcoming atmosphere while communicating the safety and quality of care patients can expect from the doctors. The websites for two of our ophthalmology clients – one a longstanding client of Page 1 Solutions, one a newcomer – chose the exterior of their offices as a focal point for their new designs.

Here's an inside look at the aesthetics of these sites:

Client of the Month: Dr. Chris Walton

Dr. Chris J. Walton has been with Page 1 Solutions since January 2015. He has made LASIK and cataract surgery the primary focus of his practice in Mobile, Alabama. To date, 100 percent of Dr. Walton’s LASIK patients have achieved 20/20 vision or better using the Allegretto Wave® laser, one of the most advanced lasers on the market.

Dr. Walton received his formal Residency training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He then completed specialized fellowship training in corneal surgery and refractive surgery at Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Very few doctors have this dual training, and it has helped Dr. Walton become recognized as one of the premier refractive surgeons on the Gulf Coast.

How People Research Ophthalmology Has Changed; Is Your Marketing Adjusting?

Many ophthalmologists recognize the need to cater to the perceptions of online patients and prospects and have re-designing their website within the past two or three years.  In most cases, this was also driven by the need to address the growing number of mobile website visitors, particularly smartphone users.

Recognizing and adapting to changes in online consumers is essential to ensure your marketing dollars continues to go farther and with greater impact.  Although many practices have addressed online consumers’ perceptions and use of websites by developing new mobile-responsive websites, they continue to market and promote the website in the same way they have always done in the past.

Web Design Digest: Ophthalmology – April 2016

Clear vision is a priority for anyone trying to find an eye doctor online. InFocus Eye Care in Bend, Oregon, executed its own clear vision in redesigning its practice website to appeal to contemporary patients and – of course – catch the eye.

InFocus Eye Care

Custom photography of Central Oregon's great outdoors plays a prominent part in the new design of the practice website, highlighting the positive impact vision correction can have on an active patient's lifestyle. Patients looking to learn more about these benefits can visit informative pages on procedures like LASIK, solutions for near vision, and more through intuitive menus and image-based call-to-action (CTA) elements on the home page.

Web Design Digest: Ophthalmology – February 2016

An important consideration for our clients in the ophthalmology vertical is designing a website that is easy on the eyes while employing the sophisticated look and functionality that modern Internet users have come to expect. Foulkes Vision achieved this balance by retaining aspects of its previous website design in the transition to a new, mobile-friendly platform.

Foulkes Vision

The home page of the new-look Foulkes Vision website features an eye-catching banner that spotlights some of the key services, special offers, and other elements that set the practice apart. The banner scrolls through eight distinct calls-to-action (CTAs), each of which has a high-quality image, custom text, and, in several cases, a link to an appropriate page within the site.
