The outside of any medical practice should create a welcoming atmosphere while communicating the safety and quality of care patients can expect from the doctors. The websites for two of our ophthalmology clients – one a longstanding client of Page 1 Solutions, one a newcomer – chose the exterior of their offices as a focal point for their new designs.
Here's an inside look at the aesthetics of these sites:
Northeastern Eye Institute
The main Northeastern Eye Institute (NEI) office in Scranton, Pennsylvania, graces the home page banner of the practice's redesigned website. Many other features on the home page and interior of the site also include custom photography of the reception area, optical store, exam rooms, and the doctors at NEI.
The practice's leading eye doctors and eye surgeons appear in a special section where visitors can view their profiles and click to read more. Images of these eye care professionals also appear in a rotating carousel that doubles as a showcase for the natural beauty of the NEPA region.
Quality next-step graphics assist users with navigation throughout the site. The “Comprehensive Eye Care for All Ages” section introduces visitors to some of the practice's core services, while other CTAs draw attention to frequently updated content including specials, upcoming events and seminars, and news about NEI. Another set of graphics contains a link to NEI's video content, as well as opportunities to contact and submit feedback to the practice.
Northeastern Eye Institute has been a proud provider of eye care and vision correction services for over 30 years. Patients nowadays share their experience on the Internet, and NEI is pleased to feature this feedback in a section on the home page spotlighting the more than 250 five-star online reviews the practice has received.

Kirk Eye Center
The new website for Kirk Eye Center takes users outside and inside of its office in Loveland, Colorado. The sign above the front entrance is a banner image throughout the site, and also functions as the icon visitors click to return to the home page. Interior photos of Kirk Optical (the practice's eyewear department) and Summit Surgery Center (the practice's outpatient surgical facility), meanwhile, act as next-step graphics.
Prospective patients can meet Dr. John Kirk and Dr. John Colvin by looking in the “Meet Our Doctors” section and clicking the buttons below their pictures. Vision correction patient Patty introduces users to the quality of care at Kirk Eye Center by sharing her experience with the practice.
Patty's testimonial appears throughout the site as a specially styled block quote. She and other patients share their stories and appear in custom photos on the Reviews page. In addition to discussing details of their procedure, each patient also highlights the personalized care provided by Dr. Kirk, Dr. Colvin, and the staff.
Another key component of the design is the “Specials of the Month” section on the home page. Crisp, clean, and fitting perfectly on a desktop or mobile screen, this area of the site is frequently updated with discounts and exclusive offers. Patients of Kirk Eye Center can request prescription refills and order contact lenses through two CTAs conveniently positioned in the masthead of the website.
