Web Design Digest: Legal – June 2016

For Lawyers, Doctors, and Dentists

This Independence Day, we celebrate the launch of three new legal client websites. Hailing from both the United States and Canada, these North American law firms personalized their online user experience with custom photography and designs that emphasize client service.

Findlay Personal Injury Lawyers

Users accessing this Ontario law firm's website immediately see the team who will be handling their case. The custom staff photo on the home page doubles as a video link, with the clip opening in a lightbox to grab visitors' attention and tell them how this “caring, passionate, and experienced team” helps clients.

Findlay Personal Injury Lawyers invests extensively in video, and the new design highlights the firm's extensive library through a rotating “Online Resources” section. Users can scroll through the different clips and pull up the option most relevant to their case in the embedded player. Each video features an attorney or experienced staff member answering questions on injury law and providing insight on the recovery process.

Next-step graphics resembling the pictograph style of caution signs guide users to Web content providing further information about auto and premises liability cases, catastrophic injury litigation, and long-term disability. Each page provides visitors with a variety of options, including:

  • Viewing relevant embedded video clips
  • Clicking a CTA to order a free copy of the firm's “It's No Accident” book
  • Reading testimonials from actual clients in the reviews slider

The tagline on the Findlay Personal Injury Lawyers website advises potential clients to “Ask Us Anything.” Visit the new http://www.findlaylaw.ca/ for answers.

Law Office of Bill Nettles

Law Office of Bill Nettles - Custom Legal Website DesignHaving served as both a criminal defense lawyer and U.S. Attorney for the District of South Carolina, Bill Nettles parlays his unique experience in multiple aspects of the design and content of the website for his new legal practice. Foremost among these special features is a “5 Things to Know If You Are Stopped by Law Enforcement” section, which combines knowledgeable insight with an eye-catching design to inform and engage prospective clients.

Custom photography on the site introduces visitors to Mr. Nettles while visuals calls-to-action deliver users to pages discussing the types of cases he tries. These include criminal defense and white-collar/public corruption cases, whistleblower claims, and complex civil litigation.

In his capacity as U.S. Attorney, Mr. Nettles was frequently featured in national coverage of legal matters in South Carolina. The website's media gallery contains links to a selection of the stories in which Mr. Nettles was quoted or interviewed during his tenure as South Carolina's preeminent law enforcement official.

Mr. Nettles launched the website for his new private practice the same month that he opened the Law Office of Bill Nettles in Columbia, South Carolina. Please visit http://www.billnettleslaw.com/ to learn more about Mr. Nettles' background trying complex criminal and civil cases.

Sklare Law Group, LTD.

The first banner image identifies the Sklare Law Group as “Accident Lawyers Who Can Help.” Subsequent taglines in the new Web design show how this Chicago firm assists clients through principles such as experience, dedication, and compassion.

Users can click the profiles in the Meet Our Attorneys section to learn about the background of each professional at the Sklare Law Group. Custom photos of these attorneys appear in banners on the home page and throughout the site, personalizing the user experience and reinforcing the firm's family focus.

The practice's contingency fee arrangement exemplifies its commitment to accident victims and their families – hence the tagline “No Recovery, No Fee” in the home page banner.

The home page also features several prominent sections linking to information about the major types of cases tried by Sklare Law Group. These include the home page mini-menu in the banner and interactive tiles with a distinctive hexagon shape in the Practice Areas section.

A rotating testimonials block is another key element of the new design, sharing feedback from clients in a digestible format. Sample verdicts and settlements from past cases augment this section.

Please visit the website for the Sklare Law Group at http://www.sklarelaw.com/ today to check out the firm's new design.
