As a business owner, you're constantly being told how important it is for you to have a strong web presence - but what exactly does that mean? In a previous blog post, we addressed 6 of the most critical web elements for business owners to consider when creating a new site or going through a redesign. Those elements include the following: 1) Mobile Friendliness, 2) Having a Simple Navigational Menu, 3) Creating Clear Calls To Action, 4) Having Easy to Read Content, 5) Using an Appropriate Color Scheme, and 6) Having Easy to Find Contact Info. While each element brings a different kind of value to your digital marketing strategy, there is one in particular that is specifically used to increase the overall conversion rate of traffic coming to your site: having low commitment, yet high quality Calls-To-Action.

What is a Call-To-Action (CTA)? Simply put, it's an instruction that is meant to provoke an immediate response from the people visiting your site, usually using an imperative verb such as "call now", "visit our office today", or "find out more". CTA's are especially effective for audience members who are still in the awareness stage of the buyers journey. They're interested in learning more about a particular procedure, but they aren't necessarily ready to pick up the phone and book a consultation with you. So what should you do to identify these people as prospects and nurture them throughout the buying cycle? We recommend that you provide them with compelling CTA's that will give them premium content based on the procedure they're interested in learning more about. For example, you might ask a prospect to download a checklist, a guide, an infographic, or en eBook to see whether or not they're a good candidate for porcelain veneers in exchange for receiving basic information about them.

With access to this kind of quality content, prospects are more likely to set up a consultation with you because they've further educated themselves about what treatment is right for them and they trust your expertise. Here are examples of some high performing CTA's on our client's websites:
