Whether you're a professional in the medical or legal field or a savvy online marketer looking for some tips to enhance your clients results, you won't want to miss this chat! In this session, we'll be discussing how to market your business on Pinterest. While this platform is still new to many businesses, it is a great opportunity to reach your audience in a very unique and organic manner. We'll unlock the secrets to success for organizing your boards, optimizing your pins, creating Secret Boards for content curation and much more! If you're very new to Pinterest, be sure to check out our ebook about how to get started on the platform here!
While many marketers may see Pinterest as a female dominated platform, 1/3 of all new sign-ups actually come from men! Not only is it a great way to visually reach your audience, the platform has also grown to become the third most popular social network behind Facebook and Twitter: you can't ignore it anymore! In an increasingly mobile world, Pinterest provides you with a great opportunity to grow your following as 75% of users access the platform via the mobile app. Whether you're pinning infographics or recipes to keep your pearly whites healthy, your pins have a longer shelf life than on Facebook or Twitter, meaning users will still engage with your content weeks or months after you post it. We've seen clients get leads and article mention from Pinterest so don't be afraid to give it a try! What do you have to lose?
Here are a few more statistics to get you amped about using Pinterest!
- Pinterest has over 100 million active users! That's a huge opportunity for your brand.
- The half-life of a pin is 3.5 months (it takes a pin 3.5 months to get 50% of it's engagement) which is 1,680 times longer than a Facebook post
- 2/3 of all content pinned each day comes from a business's website; this means uses are willing and excited about following and engaging with brands on Pinterest
- Millennials use Pinterest AS MUCH as they use Instagram. This is a great chance to cross-promote content.
All About Twitter Chats:
What is a Twitter Chat?
A Twitter chat is a live, real-time conversation on Twitter, facilitated through a single unifying hashtag. They are typically done as a weekly, or monthly series, with each individual chat revolving around a specific topic and set of questions. Anyone can participate by simply adding the hashtag to their tweets. Most Twitter chats operate as an open-forum Q&A session. We will pose a question such as “Q1: What is your best tactic to get more followers on your LinkedIn company page? A participant might then respond “A1: We find the more great content we share on the platform, the more people will follow us. #page1mktchat”. Anyone can chime in during any part of the conversation. As long as you add the chat hashtag to your tweet, it will be visible to everyone tuning in!
How Do I Participate in a Twitter Chat?
Each week we will spark a conversation based on a specific online marketing topic and pre-determined set of questions. All you need is a Twitter handle! When you are logged into Twitter, enter “#page1mktchat” into the search bar at the top of page, and then click “Live” (or click this link)
That's the simplest way to get going. However, there are several free tools available that will make for an even better Twitter chat experience. We recommend TweetDeck. You can login to TweetDeck directly with your Twitter username and password, or it may log you in automatically if you are already signed into Twitter. TweetDeck is easy to use —we explain in great detail how to get started using it here.
Why Should I Participate in a Tweet Chat?
Twitter chats offer the chance to meet and converse with like-minded individuals, industry professionals, friends and colleagues alike, in a fast-paced setting. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about new tips and tools in your industry, do some networking and have fun all the while.
