Thu, 10/20/2011

Recently, there have been a lot of whispers in the social media marketing world about some possible changes that will be hitting the Facebook platform in the near future. We already know about the massive changes that happened a few weeks back, along with other changes, like Timeline, that are rolling out slowly. But, there has been little discussion on how these changes will affect our Facebook business pages.

During my daily search for social media news, I stumbled across this blog post from BlueGlass. This post has some really good info in it tha can help us all prepare for potential changes to our business pages. No one really knows if, when, or how these changes might roll out, but the professionals have made some educated guesses that make sense.

The five things that we can look to do to prepare our business pages are:

1. Modify Wall Posts and Engagement Strategies

2. Organize our Photo Albums

3. Revise our Facebook Engagement Policy

4. Prepare New Creative Assets for New Possible Layouts

5. Revise our Monitoring Strategy
