Search Engine Optimization (SEO) doesn’t immediately change your results or happen overnight. It is an involved process that takes time and starts as early as your website design.
When sites are designed using frames, built all in flash or have convoluted code, it can make a huge difference in the type of results that you can obtain, unless you are strictly using paid advertising.

Remember the internet is tool for research, provide the user with everything they need to know and make them feel comfortable contacting you because you know your business and can do a good job for them. Use calls-to-action to move users through the site to contact you.
Once the design has been completed the process of “true” optimization begins. This means going through the site page by page and targeting the keywords that you want your site to show up for on the search engines. When the site optimization has been completed, we move on to the registration and submissions to the search engines.
Another key ingredient in search engine optimization is link building. This process should be ongoing and a natural part of your site progression. If your site truly has in-depth content, people will want to link to you as a resource of information. You can also exchange links with associations or other companies that you regularly do business with.
Just remember, that above board tactics may take longer to get results but ultimately you will win in the end. Your site won’t get banned or disappear from the results for using “black-hat” techniques. Your website traffic and business will grow and prove that internet marketing is truly a smart medium to allocate some of your advertising budget to.
