Here are some photos from my recent trip down to the AAJ Education Seminar, "Litigating Truck Collisions". It was a great seminar with lots of lawyers who were enthusiastic about making truck accident cases a bigger part of their practice. After learning all day, the attorneys enjoyed the French Quarter.

Hopefully, when the airlines begin charging for checking your second bag of luggage, some of the money will go toward improving baggage handling instead of just promoting the same, shoddy service that we (or at least I) have come to expect from the big name airlines.

I'm in New Orleans today at the 3rd day of the annual AAO meeting. Here are some pictures of the event that was grandiose to say the least.

There was so much going on at this show. Many attendees said that it was simply overwhelming.

Walking down the isle, you could hear languages from every corner of the globe.

Page 1 Solutions treated its employees to a horseback riding outing. We had a great time despite the rain that tried to dampen our spirits.

They gave me the biggest horse they could find, and warned me that I had to be in the back of the trail ride because my horse, named Hollywood, was notorious for kicking other horses if they were behind him. Hollywood and I were fast friends by the end of the day.

Patrick and Dano, the two silliest deputies this side of the Rockies.

Page 1 At Wrigley Field

After the exhibit hall at the AAJ meeting closed, we took the Chicago Red Line over to Wrigley Field to watch the Chicago Cubs play the San Francisco Giants. It was a great game, but unfortunately, the Cubs couldn't come back from a bad string of pitches that led to a couple of runs being walked-in. Still, Bill and I enjoyed it. Here are some pictues of the evening.

I bailed out the folks at Thermage. No one would pose for the photo, so I had to model for them.

The Page 1 Solutions Open House 2007

Our recent open house was a lot of fun, and we raised a handsome sum for the Jeffco Action Center. Here are some pics! Click for a larger version.

We went with the carnival theme this year, so of course, we needed balloons...lots of balloons!

Cubes and offices were transformed into "booths".

All proceeds went to benefit the Jeffco Action Center.

We were fortunate enough to be able to exhibit at the Hinman Dental Meeting in Atlanta this year. We met a lot of great dentists and vendors. There was a lot of energy at this meeting. Snowden from Septodont was apprehensive at first, but eventually let me take her picture. She wasn't the only camera-shy person that I came across either, but she played along. Thanks, Snowden!

Gilbert at Air Techniques also took a little convincing, but once he figured out that I wasn't trying to sell him a Polaroid for $5, he was eager to show me the ScanX and Acclaim USB intraoral camera.

The Colgate booth looked other-worldly.

These guys literally had ray guns at their booth! Many thanks to Richard Jackman and his comrade in arms from Aribex for the cool photo.

Unfortunately, the Invisalign booth was so busy that I never got a chance to meet either of these two gentlemen.

Michael and his friend at the Ultreo booth were kind enough to show off their ultrasound toothbrush. It looks really cool!

Patricia and her friend at the Ultradent booth showed me their equipment in action.

Camera-shyness was a common problem at the Discus Dental booth, but they are all really nice people. Thanks for showing me the Zoom! system and "mini-me" Zoom too.

The guys at Hager Worldwide preferred a "candid" photo. I think it turned out nicely.

Art and Jamie at DentalEZ Group showed me one of their dental chairs.

It's been snowing all day here in Golden, Colorado. Supposedly there is even more snow further south in town, in Denver, where I live. It's going to be a beast of a drive, but I'm not focusing on that. Page 1 is a great place to work because we're busy and we have a lot of fun working together. We celebrated the birthdays of two terrific members of our team, Nigel Wackett and Michael Barrow.

Welcome to Miami! Dan and I are at the American Association for Justice convention today. It's going well. We've spoken with a lot of great attorneys and hope to start working with a few of them. We also had lunch with Ira Sherman of Chaikin & Sherman, and Dan had lunch with some of the attorneys of Colling, Gilbert, Wright, & Carter.
