Up Close and Personal With Dental Bonding

Up until now, I've never had a personal experience with cosmetic dentistry, and last week, that changed. I was playing basketball on our mini-court out behind the office, and I took a header into the pavement. Here was the result:

Broken teeth in need of cosmetic dentistry

When I realized what happened, I kind of panicked. I never realized how attached I am to the way I look. Not sure if that makes me vain, but I felt grotesque. I wasn't confident in my regular dentist's cosmetic dentistry abilities, so I immediately thought of our Denver cosmetic dentistry client, Dr. Scott Greenhalgh. He's in town and is a good friend, so I trusted him to take good care of me. He and his team did a great job:

Dental bonding repaired my front teeth

Some day, I may go in for some teeth whitening and some porcelain veneers to even out my smile, but the dental bonding that they did made my smile as good as new. Now, more than ever, Scott will be one of my favorite dental web marketing clients.

The results are great. Having invited him and made the pass he was chasing when he fell, I felt responsible and was very happy to see his smile looking so good afterward. However, Jonathan is now banned from the basketball court.

Wow! I heard about what happened to you, but I didn't see it. That's a very nice cosmetic dental job!

Can you please give me more details about Dr. Scott Greenhalgh? I would like to visit him. I have dental anxiety. Does he do sedation dentistry?

Blogger Jonathan Fashbaugh replied...

Yes, he offers sleep dentistry.

This is a great article about the comparison of HTML to PHP and how they relate to search engine positioning.

Templated Websites - Buyer Beware

I just spoke with a dentist in orange county about her Web marketing. She has two websites, neither of which perform well on the search engines. Both are templated website designs. A core issue is that they are built in a database that would prevent us from optimizing the website, not to mention that she doesn't own one or both of her websites (more on website ownership here). But the biggest issue is that the websites are built with duplicate content. There are countless website design companies out there that sell low-cost website designs that are 100% templated, from design to content. A templated website design is fine as long as it's built to be search engine-friendly, and you own it. Google doesn't care if your website is aesthetically identical to hundreds of other websites, as long as it has original text to offer as search results.

Don't waste your money, no matter how inexpensive the site might be, on a templated design that is, in the end, a worthless piece of online real estate.
