Squidoo - Promoting Business

Ok, anyone with a business to promote online should go to squidoo right now! Regardless if you have a website (although it is even more helpful if do have one).

This site is extremely cool for promoting anything. It takes about 15 minutes to learn, and once you’ve got the basics down – it becomes real simple.

Here’s the deal. You make what they call a “lens” – which in reality is a web page. Then you get to add anything and everything you could possibly think of to this lens. So, if you want to promote your business, a particular service, product, anything at all, you add it to your lens. Basically, you’re creating a webpage within the squidoo website to promote yourself – and the best part is – IT’S COMPLETELY FREE!!

That’s right, with the amount of money most folks spend in advertising to position themselves higher in the search engines this is a very cost-effective solution. And Google loves to promote squidoo pages on the 1^st page too!!

Now, I know what you might be thinking, “But I don’t know how to create a webpage, so what makes you think I can create a this "lens" thing?”

My response: Everything is automated, so if you can type, you can create a lens. It’s that simple. Here’s a great example of a cosmetic dentistry guide that some marketer created.

The above lens page is hitting on all cylinders. It’s incredibly informative, interactive, and it promotes dozens of dentists throughout the U.S.

Now, I’m not saying, you have to go this deep – but at least put some information about your business in – something useful to people, and see what happens.
